Max 20 children per group (able to run more than one group at once or manage a large group and split off for smaller group work)

Kombiz staff will come to the school and facilitate games/activities with children during lunchtime.

The children will have the opportunity to: Be able to recognise both positive and negative outcomes of change; Reflect on the range of changes in their lives; Recognise that we each deal with changes differently.
The children will have the opportunity to: Consider the many effects changing schools may have on their lives; Explore the different feelings associated with changes; Recognise, name and begin to accept their own feelings about moving to secondary school.
The children will have the opportunity to: Meet with secondary students and hear their experiences; Identify supports for coping with the change of schools; Explore their hopes for the future; Identify their individual strengths and their capacity to achieve these hopes; Explore their ability to utilise their strengths to manage change effectively.
The children will have the opportunity to: Deal with the practical aspects of the transition; Explore how they will make the journey to school; Look at some sample time tables and understand how they work; Explore how to make friends and connections with their new class mates; Making links with places and people who will walk with them through the transition.
