Faith Matters

Kombiz Youth Network has a Christian basis and was founded on responding holistically to young people's needs. This includes physical, mental, social and spiritual elements.
Kombiz Youth Network's church partners, staff and volunteers approach issues of faith thoughtfully and respectfully. We believe that faith enhances and enriches lives, and we are confident to share our story with those who want to know more about the Christian faith. However, we encourage dialogue about life's big questions and maintain respect for different faith positions.

While many of our programs are primarily about providing recreation, support and empowerment, young people who are interested in developing their faith will find a listening ear, encouragement and resources for the journey. We have good relationships with members of other faith traditions and usually find someone to help where we can't.

Faith related programs operate as needed and have included school programs on values clarification and values education, Christian approaches to peace and justice and Christian myth busters. Out of school groups offer opportunities for those interested in exploring the Christian option further.

Our Church partners can offer many resources including grief and loss counselling, services and rituals marking life events as practical and community support.
