Chaplaincy Services

Kombiz in Partnership with Galilee Regional Catholic School and Port Melbourne Primary School receives funding from the Federal Government Chaplaincy Program to support our work in the local community.

Chaplains support school communities through pastoral care of students, teachers, families and the wider local community.

Kombiz chaplain Jill Mahar at Galilee Regional Catholic School and Port Melbourne Primary School fulfils a unique role in two of our local school communities:

  • Chaplains are active in promoting student wellbeing, particularly through the provision of pastoral care and informal educational program in schools
  • Chaplains encourage reflection about the spiritual dimensions of life
  • Chaplains have an educative role in the areas of beliefs, values, morals, ethics
  • Chaplains work to facilitate the connection of students into the school network and wider community

Kombiz Chaplains respect the range of religious views and cultural traditions of the school community. They also have the highest standards of professional qualifications and take part in on-going training and development.

Our unique approach to chaplaincy has strong community connections and makes use of our full team who walk alongside young people in schools.
